Alarms Pte Ltd is the pioneer and leader in local fire safety and security services in the Republic of Maldives. This company is a voting member of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association, American Standard) and is also approved and certified by the government of Maldives to conduct trainings and service equipment related to fire services.
The very essence of Alarms Pte Ltd comes from the various experiences of Mr. Umar Naseer (Managing Director).During his 7-year career in the National Security Services he led several investigations of resort fires. He also investigated the cause of many major fires that occurred in Male’ during that period. His experience led him to believe that a private fire and security industry would help the country in many ways.
In the light of these experiences he came to the conclusion that it is an absolute must to create a fire and security industry to help them to make their stand and ward off the detrimental effects of fire and burglary through positive retaliation using the rightful means and knowledge.
Since 1996 Alarms Pte Ltd have expanded to a large company with several local and foreign staff, with separate departments to cater for the market. Today, Alarms Pte Ltd is clearly the leader in this industry, with full time fire and security engineers to cater for all your needs.
The fact that Alarms has trained more people than all the other companies in the field combined together is a clear pointer towards the superiority of the company with regard to the fire safety field. Over the past years, Alarms has conducted various fire related courses in most of the resorts of Maldives, whereby creating awareness and self sufficiency at those resorts, who, otherwise would be rendered helpless should a fire break out in any of their premises. The inevitable results of these strenuous efforts came very positively, as many of these resorts were able to contain outbreaks of fire before havoc and heavy property damage was inflicted on them. This would not have been within reach without properly trained staff and an effective fire emergency procedure.
Alarms has also been the driving force behind the creation of fire awareness for the staff of all the staff of many resorts and several key places of Male’, whereby effectively reducing the risk of fire in those premises. Maintaining the fire equipment in those places and enforcing proper service to these equipment has also played its part for the current status of fire safety of those clients, along with designing the proper fire safety systems for these places.
Alarms is also the proud caretakers of several high security premises in Male’, including the Bank of Maldives, the Central Bank and Dhiraagu. Security of such high risk places has become compulsory due to the increasing crime rate in the capital city. But are places of this caliber the only places at risk?
The population of Male’ has increased over the past few years and being the capital city, Male’ has attracted a large number of people from the other islands for educational and several other purposes. The combination of these two factors caused a population explosion that has brought with it, the inevitable introduction of crime, whereby disrupting the otherwise serene atmosphere of this small island community. With the development of the society came its side effects. Cost of living has skyrocketed, shadowed closely by the dramatic increase of burglars and robbers, who chose to meet the cost of living the ungodly way.
Thus, an increasing number of people with high degrees of investments began asking questions and Alarms, predictably, came up with the proper solution.
Alarms, at present cater for a fair number of clients who wish to be able to catch up on their sleep, which at present can be done by a feeling of secure ness. Alarms has installed security systems for these clients to secure their premises from thefts and burglary. These systems vary in degrees of effectiveness, and can be customized according to the clients whishes and budgets
The simplest of these systems include PIR detection systems, which detect the infrared and motion via dual detectors. Once the system is tripled by a burglar, it automatically alerts the owners via audible and visual devices, in addition to downloading these information to the owners mobile phones or pagers. Also included in our security package are CCTV systems, access control systems, which can be integrated with payroll systems, cash/ valuable escort services and several other services.
With the introduction of these simple, yet sophisticated systems, the premises which they are installed are burglary proof, as the alarm would go off as soon as an unauthorized person tires to enter the premises after the system is armed. Alarms also has a 24-hour monitoring station at the head office, where the installed systems are monitored round the clock 365 days a year, all on-line.
